Engine sound for your Tesla

How DRIWE gives an electric car the sound of an engine that follows your speed, what it needs, and what it costs.

An engine that follows the drive

DRIWE plays a virtual engine through the Tesla browser. It follows your speed, so the sound rises when you accelerate and settles when you cruise, instead of looping a recording that ignores what the car is doing.

Speed comes from your device’s GPS, or from Tesla’s own data when you connect your account with Maps + Metrics. Setup happens while parked; once it is playing, there is nothing to touch.

What you can hear

The free collection starts with electric hums and a playful set of synthesized engines. Recorded packs add RAW V8, RAW V10 and RAW V12, captured from idle to redline. The V8 and V10 Duo packs each carry two styles in one purchase: Signature, which keeps the original engine character through acceleration and overrun, and Dynamic, which responds continuously as revs and load change. Both RAW V12 styles are exclusive to Studio Pro. Horn collections and a mixer for volume, low-end rumble and background ambience round it out.

Everything plays through the browser’s audio, at the volume you set in the car.

What you need

A Tesla with the in-car browser and a data connection. Open driwe.app on the car screen while parked, pick a sound, and press play. The demo needs no account, card or location access; the real drive uses your device’s GPS and asks for permission first.

What it costs

The starter sounds are free. Recorded engine packs are one-time purchases from $2.99, and Studio Pro at $7.99 a month (or $59 a year) includes the whole collection. Every plan follows GPS on a real drive; Maps + Metrics, which connects your Tesla for live vehicle data and accelerator response, is a separate optional subscription. Prices are shown on the plans page before you sign in.

Entertainment, not equipment

DRIWE is entertainment. It is not a replacement for the car’s instruments, navigation or driver assistance, and data may be delayed or inaccurate. Set up and change settings while parked, and keep your attention on the road.
