Data Deletion

How to delete your Driwe account and the data held with it, what deletion removes, and what has to be kept.

Last updated: September 14, 2026

1. Two ways to remove data

Some of what Driwe holds is yours to clear at any time, without asking anyone: the Tesla connection, the preferences saved on this browser, and cookies. Everything tied to your account — the account itself, purchases, racing records and the friends list — is deleted by request, because deletion is permanent and we confirm it is really you asking.

This page describes both. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains what is held and why.

2. What you can clear yourself

Disconnect Tesla in Driwe to remove the stored authorization; you can also withdraw it with Tesla. Disconnecting a vehicle does not cancel a paid subscription.

Clear cookies and site data in your browser to remove the session cookie, the language cookie, saved driving preferences, a saved browser self-check and any referral cookie. Clearing site data signs you out and resets preferences on that browser.

Cookie Settings turns optional usage analytics off. Turning it off removes the browser identifier and requests deletion of the events measured with it. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control have the same effect without a visit here.

In racing, you can change your racing name once, change or clear your declared country, and remove a friend or a pending request at either end. Not submitting a racing result keeps you off the boards entirely.

3. Ask us to delete your account

Email support@driwe.app from the email address of your Driwe account and ask us to delete your account. One line is enough: what you want deleted, and the account address it belongs to.

Write from the account address if you can. If you cannot, say so and name the address you want deleted — we will ask you to confirm from that address, or to complete a sign-in to it, before anything is erased. We ask for the confirmation we need to be sure of the request and nothing more; never send passwords, sign-in codes or Tesla tokens by email.

Typing the request in an email is deliberate. There is no button in the car that erases an account, because a permanent action should not be one tap away on a screen someone else may be sitting in front of.

For privacy requests and questions about this policy, you can also write to legal@driwe.app.

4. Ask for a copy before you delete

Deletion cannot be undone, and a copy cannot be produced afterwards. If you want your data first, ask for an export in the same email and we will send it before deleting anything.

The export is a JSON file: your account record and entitlements, session timestamps, the Tesla connection status, purchase references, your racing progress and race history, coin purchases and wallet history, your racing name, icon and declared country, your standings, reports you filed, and your friends list.

5. What deletion removes

Deleting an account removes the account record and its email address, pending sign-in codes, every session on every device, entitlements and plan access held on the account, saved garage favorites, and the stored Tesla authorization.

It removes your racing records with it: progress and race history, Arcade coins, wallet history and coin-purchase records, League attempts, your racing name, icon and declared country, every leaderboard standing, reports you filed, and your friends list and pending requests at both ends. A friend keeps no copy of you; the relationship disappears from their list too.

Access ends immediately. Signing in again creates a new, empty account rather than restoring the old one.

6. What is kept, and why

Payment and tax records are kept where accounting and tax law requires it. These are held with Stripe and in our own order records; the order records keep the amount, currency, date and transaction reference, with the email address removed. If you also ask us to delete your Stripe customer records, any subscription on them is cancelled at once and payment history is removed from Stripe where it may lawfully be removed.

A record of the deletion itself is kept in our administrative audit log — who requested it, who performed it and when — so that a permanent action can be accounted for. It contains the address that was deleted and nothing about your use of the service.

Where a record is needed to prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation, it is kept for that purpose and no other. Aggregate counts that identify nobody — how many demos started on a day, for example — remain, because there is nothing in them to delete.

Deleted rows leave live systems at once. Backups and infrastructure logs cycle out on their own schedule rather than being rewritten to remove a single row.

7. Subscriptions, purchases and coins

Deleting an account is not the same as cancelling a subscription, and asking for one does not perform the other. Cancel renewal in the shop, or say in your email that you want both. Closing Driwe, signing out or disconnecting Tesla does not cancel billing.

Deletion ends access to everything bought on the account: subscriptions, one-time packs, coins and anything bought with them. Nothing is transferred to another account, and an account cannot be restored to recover a purchase. Refunds are considered separately under the Refund Policy.

8. How long it takes

We answer deletion requests within 30 days, and normally within a few days. If we need to confirm your identity first, the clock starts when you confirm. If a request needs longer than 30 days, we will tell you why before that time runs out.

We will confirm by email when the account has been deleted, and tell you anything that was kept under section 6.

9. Your rights and how to complain

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or obtain a copy of your information, and to withdraw consent. Deletion is one of them; asking to delete one thing does not oblige you to delete the account.

We do not charge for a deletion request, and asking for one does not change how you are treated as a customer.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled a request, email legal@driwe.app. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Driwe, contact legal@driwe.app so we can investigate and remove it.
